2. About APSC

The Asian Peer Support Club (APSC) is a registered student organization at Clarksburg High School. Our mission is to foster cultural exchange, provide peer support, and create an inclusive community. All activities are governed by school policies and regulations established by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS).

3. Peer Support Disclaimer

Not Professional Advice: APSC provides peer-to-peer support only. Our members are students, not licensed mental health professionals, counselors, therapists, or medical doctors. Nothing on this platform should be considered professional mental health treatment or medical advice.

Limitations of Service: We do not diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, or provide therapy. For serious mental health concerns, please consult qualified healthcare professionals.

24/7 Monitoring: This platform is not monitored continuously. Response times may vary based on member availability.

4. Mandatory Reporting & Safety Obligations

In accordance with MCPS policies and legal requirements, APSC members are mandated reporters. If any information discloses intent to harm oneself or others, child abuse or neglect, safety threats to any individual, or other legally reportable concerns, APSC is obligated to report this information to school administration, counselors, or appropriate law enforcement authorities. This is required regardless of confidentiality requests and is essential for community safety.

5. Emergency Procedures

In life-threatening emergencies, do not rely solely on this platform. Immediately call 911 for emergency services, contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (available 24/7), or reach out to a trusted adult, school counselor, or medical professional.

6. User Conduct & Community Standards

By using APSC platforms and services, you agree to treat all members and staff with respect and dignity, avoid discriminatory, derogatory, or harassing language, refrain from sharing personal information of others without consent, not submit false or misleading reports, and comply with all applicable school and legal regulations. Violations of community standards will result in disciplinary action, including removal from the club and potential referral to school authorities.

All content on this website, including but not limited to logos, text, images, videos, and design elements, are the exclusive property of APSC or used with permission. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of any content is prohibited without prior written consent from APSC leadership.
