Meet the Team

Johnny Qiao

President
+
Johnny is the Founder and currently serving his second consecutive term as President of the Asian Peer Support Club. A dedicated high school leader with a proven track record in organizational management—having previously directed a performance troupe—Johnny established this club with a profound vision: to bridge the gap between cultural transition and personal success.

Under Johnny’s leadership, the organization serves as a cornerstone for students navigating the complexities of a new country and school environment. His mission is to cultivate a premier, inclusive sanctuary where students aren't just adjusting, but are empowered to learn, love, and grow. Johnny is steadfast in his commitment to radical inclusivity, ensuring that the diverse voices of the community are not only heard but are instrumental in shaping the club’s trajectory.

To institutionalize this vision, Johnny leads through the RISE framework:

Resilience: Fortifying the ability of peers to navigate and overcome systemic and personal challenges.

Integration: Facilitating seamless cultural and academic transitions for new members.

Support: Providing a robust infrastructure of peer-to-peer emotional and social resources.

Equity: Championing a platform where every individual has equal access to opportunity and influence.

Johnny’s ambition is to scale this community’s impact, fostering a legacy of excellence and belonging that will endure for years to come. He invites all who share this vision to join the movement in elevating our community to unprecedented heights.
